The Gingerbread Woman is the fifth episode of Season 2 of Escape the Night.
Plot[]
When an evil Gingerbread Woman traps unsuspecting children in an oven, the guests must fight to free them before it’s too late.
Episode Summary[]
The guests learn that 2 children are about to be baked alive inside the Gingerbread Woman's oven to be used for meat pies. The guests split up into 2 teams, Alex, Tana and Gabbie look for the children's friend to open the door cast with a spell, while Joey, Tyler, Andrea and Liza look for the baker's meat pie recipe as an exchange for the gem. When they arrive, they find a man named Sampson who has the Candy Gem. Although, before the guests exchange it, the Gingerbread Woman walks inside and realizes that the guests have stolen her recipe.
Because of this, she instructs the guests to vote for two to compete for the gem. The winner will receive it and the loser will be used as an ingredient for her next meat pie. Tyler and Liza get chosen to compete in the challenge. Liza loses against Tyler, but Sampson tells them that they can both live if they follow his plan. He tells them that Tyler should eat the Gingerbread Woman's pie but say that it tastes bad. The Gingerbread Woman will get upset and go inside the oven to check what's wrong, then Sampson will shut the door and bake her inside.
The plan succeeds and Liza and Tyler survive. However, outside the room, the Sorceress appears and tells them that they can't cheat and one of them must die to obtain a gem. The Harpies appear and kill Sampson and Liza by slitting their throats.

- According to Joey, Liza's death was planned since she was filming a movie and she was only free for 2 days to film Escape the Night.[1]
