Merlin the Magician is a minor character in Escape the Night Season 4. He is portrayed by Miles Anderson

He is a one time character which the guests found in the Medieval exhibit and after the encounter with The Black Knight they find him chained to a rock void of magic and the youtuber's task is to free him but they get interrupted by the black knight. Then, he goes away afterward the guests free Merlin and he gets his magic back he then sends half of the guests to get the spell book that would make one of them a king and the other half goes to place Arthur's Crown in the middle of the table in the round room. Later, they find out there is a trap set in place by the collector in case Merlin tried to get his spell book back which he slows down. Merlin identifies the guardian angel stone then when the black knight comes Merlin fights him as the guests run away and he isn't seen again until later after the challenge of the episode again fights the black knight and then Merlin gets impaled by his sword

There are many versions of the tale of King Arthur, Camelot, and Merlin. But all of them agree that Merlin was the one that magically disguises Uther to look like his enemy, Gorlois, enabling Uther to sleep with Lady Igraine, thus making King Arthur illegitimate. Arthur was raised by Sir Ector until Merlin guided him to Excalibur. For many years, Merlin would be Arthur's most trusted advisor, until he met his end at the betrayal of Vivien, who brought him to a cave that was buried under a large rock and held great power. As Merlin, so in love with Vivien, began to lift the rock and was buried under a landslide.
