Character Cards are the cards that describe what role you play and their abilities in the game. There are 11 roles in the game. However, if you paid for the Exclusive Invitation tier on Kickstarter, you will receive a special card that was designed with your image on it. This Personalized Card will not have its own ability, but will take on the ability of the Character Card you replace it with.
Each card comes with a token card and stand to use to move around the board. Each Character Card has a special ability that will be useful in the game. All 11 characters/roles must go into the game, so if you have less than 11 players, some people will get multiple roles.
At the end of each round, players vote two characters into a PVP challenge. Careful who you trust, as alliances can fall apart. The final round has the four remaining character face off against the Mysterious Man. Players must gather the relics and go to the Foyer to finish off the evil and escape the night. The only problem: you have only until the sand runs out in the hourglass. Players can take as many turns as they want, but each remaining character must complete an action before the next person can go. Failure to contain the evil in time means being trapped in the 1920s.
